The Open University Golf Society held its Annual General Meeting on 4 December 2025, with Chair Liz Moody welcoming members and reflecting on a season defined by strong participation, resilience, and community spirit.

Despite unavoidable weather-related disruptions toward the end of the season, OUGS enjoyed excellent support across events, welcomed new members, and successfully navigated a number of unforeseen challenges thanks to the commitment of the Committee.

Most importantly, the Society now looks ahead to 2026 — our 50th Anniversary year — with confirmed additional funding and an expanded programme of golf, special venues, new trophies, and commemorative initiatives.

This AGM reaffirmed what makes OUGS special: not just the golf, but the people who sustain it.
